Kimbal Sheffield D.D.S.
Doctor Kimbal Sheffield earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Boston College in 1977 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1981. He became a dentist in Peabody and Medford, MA after graduation, then moved to Dayville, CT in 1985 to start a family. He has been an active member of the American Dental Association and Connecticut State Dental Society since 1981. He is also a Board Member of Peer Review of Northeastern Connecticut.
Dr. Sheffield was born in Toronto in 1955, he grew up among his two brothers in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada until 1964. He then moved to Woodridge, Connecticut and became an American Citizen. He met his future wife at Boston College in Biology Lab, and in 1978, they tied the knot! Soon after, he and his wife Pamela had three loving children: Allison, Lauren, and Peter. Now, Allison, his oldest daughter, is working here as a dentist, following in her father's footsteps! Lauren is an elementary school teacher who lives with her husband and two dogs in Colorado. Peter lives in Washington D.C. where he is a computer scientist and an avid snowboarder.
Dr. Sheffield is very involved in his community. When he is not working or volunteering his time, he enjoys running, bicycling, time at the beach, and gardening.
Allison Karen White D.M.D.

Dr. Allison White graduated from Ponaganset High School then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Boston College. After college, she spent a year traveling, becoming familiar with different cultures and exploring her family roots in Italy. Dr. White continued her education at Boston University where she studied Medical Sciences, published her thesis on “The Effect of Dairy Products On Dental Caries,” and received her Master of Arts Degree in Oral Health & Medical Sciences. Dr. White received her Doctor of Dental Medicine, D.M.D. degree, from the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. White is certified in CEREC, CPR, and INVISALIGN.
Dr. White is dedicated to giving back to her community. She visits Boston elementary schools to enforce good oral and overall health to children and their parents. She spends a lot of her free time providing dental care to women and children at homeless shelters. She enjoys giving lectures on nutrition and it’s effects on dental health to students and professors.
Dr. White attends the Yankee Dental Congress every year to enhance her dental knowledge and keep up with the newest technologies and procedures. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Women Dentists, the Massachusetts Dental Society, American Student Dental Association, & The Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. White volunteered her summer of 2013 providing comprehensive dental care at the South End Community Health Center for adult and pediatric patients. Dr. White has skills to provide state of the art diagnoses and treatment plans, aesthetic veneers, crowns & fillings, teeth alignment, full mouth reconstructions, periodontal procedures, teeth whitening, restorative and fixed procedures, endodontics, fabrication of removable appliances, and surgical and non-surgical extractions. She also contributed significant data to the published research on dry mouth, fluoride, and head and neck cancer at Tufts School of Dental Medicine along side world-renowned dentist and researcher, Athena Papas, Ph.D., D.M.D.
Dr. White’s love and passion for dentistry is clear, but when she is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband Dan and her golden retriever puppy Bella. She enjoys skiing, cycling, jogging, playing golf and tennis, and swimming at the beach. She adores quality time with her family and friends, traveling, and living a healthy, positive lifestyle.

Jayesh Patel, DMD
We’re excited to introduce Dr. Jayesh Patel, the newest addition to Killingly Dental Care. Dr. Patel graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology, and pursued graduate studies in Physiology, earning his Masters of Science from New York Medical College. Subsequently, Dr. Patel returned to complete his dental education at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine, D.M.D. degree, magna cum laude. Dr. Patel is certified in CEREC, CPR, and Invisalign.
While in dental school, Dr. Patel served as a teaching assistant for removable prosthodontics, occlusion, and endodontics. He also performed research, publishing a study in 2017 looking at a novel pharmaceutical agent in the treatment of periodontitis in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology. Upon graduation, Dr. Patel was awarded the Hanau Best of the Best Prosthodontic award, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons 2018 Dental Implant Student award, and the Oral and Craniofacial Biology Predoctoral Research Award.
Dr. Patel was born in South Africa, and he lived there until 1999. He then moved to the United States, gradually moving up the east coast and finally landing in Massachusetts where he’s lived for over 15 years.
Community Involvement and Interests
Dr. Patel loves giving back to his community, often volunteering in his free time throughout dental school at the local foodbank, community events such as Boston’s Christmas in the City, and going to Panama for international dental mission work. He enjoys the outdoor activities that New England has to offer, and can often be found biking, hiking, and playing tennis.
